Welcoming Calvin McKendrick as the New Principal of Bradoaks Elementary

We are thrilled to introduce Calvin McKendrick as the new Principal of Bradoaks Elementary Science Academy. Mr. McKendrick's journey brings him back to Monrovia, where he attended Mayflower Elementary School and previously served as an assistant principal at Canyon Oaks High School, Mountain Park School, and Monrovia High School.
 
He holds a Master of Arts in Education from Azusa Pacific University and a Bachelor of Arts in Latin American Studies with a Minor in Marketing Communications from Brigham Young University.
 
With a rich educational background, Calvin McKendrick is uniquely equipped for his role as principal. Beyond his academic credentials, he has demonstrated exceptional leadership in various capacities, including as a Mentor Teacher,  Beginning Teacher Support and Assessment (BTSA) Support Provider, World Languages Department Chair, and Professional Learning Community Facilitator. Fluent in Spanish, he has spearheaded initiatives to empower English Language Learners, paving tangible pathways for their post-secondary success through college or vocational training.
 
Having previously served as principal at San Antonio High School, Mr. McKendrick returns to Monrovia with a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to educational excellence. We eagerly welcome him back to our district and are confident that his leadership will inspire and empower the students and faculty of Bradoaks Elementary Science Academy.
